We are quickly approaching the time for Spring Parent/Teacher Conferences! As in previous years, Spring conferences are for those students whose parent or teacher requests one.
February 10th and 11th have been designated as P/T Conference days. Students will be dismissed at noon both days.
Conferences can be conducted in-person, virtually using Schoology’s Big Blue Button, or via phone. As we are currently experiencing a surge of COVID-19 cases, some of our teachers would prefer to conduct virtual/phone conferences only.
Please refer to the information below regarding how to sign-up for your student’s conference. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you’re having trouble signing up.

Parent Teacher Conferences
Thursday: February 10 @ 1-6:40pm
Friday, February 11 @ 1-2:40pm
We will be using PTC Fast to set up conferences.
Families may select an In-Person Option, Video Virtual Option (using Big Blue Button), or Phone Call Option. Some teachers may only be conducting video/phone conferences.
How to sign-up for Parent-Teacher Conferences
Step 1: Go to: https://www.ptcfast.com/schools/Desert_Willow_Elementary_6
Step 2: Here you will find a screen that looks like this.
Step 3: Once you click the teacher’s name, you will see a screen like this. Here is where you will select the times and whether or not you want an in-person, virtual video-conference, or phone conference. Please put your child’s name in the fields below and if you are requesting to do a video virtual conference, put the last name with a dash then the word “video” or “phone” if requesting a phone conference.

** If you have selected a Video Virtual Conference (by typing “video” next to your child’s name), the classroom teacher will email you the link for the video virtual conference, using BigBlueButton. If you selected “phone” the teacher will call you at your scheduled time.
