DWE Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week was a huge success because of our amazing PTA and our DWE families! Thank you for sending your love!
This week we celebrated our Cienega Graduates with a parade, went of field trips, watched ducks hatch, and released butterflies. Such a wonderful time of year!

Our AMAZING PTA has a meeting on Wednesday after school at 3:00, Skate Night/Yearbook Signing Party is on Thursday evening, and 5th grade has Water Day and a BBQ on Friday.

What a great week to be a Diamondback! We had our "Slime the Principal" assembly to celebrate the minutes read and money earned during our Read-A-Thon fundraiser. Mrs. Owens was such a good sport!
On Tuesday we spent time with our Buddy Classes playing games, reading, and drawing. We were also able to congratulate the winners of this year's Reflections Contest. They wrote music, made movies, danced, and showed the world their talents.
Today we had our first High School Graduate parade. Here is a picture of all the Mica Mountain seniors that attended DWE.

We would also like thank the students from Mica Mountain who came to Desert Willow on Wednesday! Our elementary school kiddos loved working with them in class, at specials, all over our campus!
We are also going to be observing Purple Up Day on Tuesday this week, please see the flyer for more info about what this day represents. Wednesday we will be having a PTA meeting and Friday we will have Diamondbuck store during lunches.
The DWE teachers and staff would like to extend a huge thank you to our PTA Teacher and Staff Appreciation Committee for organizing the Grab and Go Breakfast this week and to all the families who donated! These goodies were the pick me up many of our staff needed as they proctored State Testing this week!

At our Caught in the ACT Assemblies we celebrated our students who earned a Caught in the ACT, Diamondback Leader, and so many other recognitions!
Today we were also able to celebrate Ms. Montagu with Tucson Values Teachers, Ms. Montagu was nominated for the TVT Teacher Excellence Award by a parent of one of her students. We love having Ms. Montagu teach at Desert Willow!
