This past Saturday at Vail Pride Day we had an amazing display of our student art work (thank you Ms. Ingerson for all you do with our students and for composing an amazing display!). Also at Vail Pride Day our Academic Jeopardy Teams' hard work paid off! The 3rd Grade Team finished in 3rd place, the 4th Grade Team tied for 4th place, and our 5th grade team won! It is so neat to see such a wonderful showcase of our student's hard work! Our Math Bowl Team also worked incredible hard this year and tied for 4th! Mrs. Edris is so proud of all they accomplished!
On Monday several of our 4th and 5th graders, along with their parents and Mrs. Aros and Mrs. Coolman (Coleman) set off for this year's San Diego Trip! This week they have been learning so much about marine life, and American History on the USS Midway.

Another great week in the books at DWE! Our 1st and 2nd graders went over to Cienega this week to enjoy their spring play. Our 4th graders rehearsed and performed their grade level concert. And we had lot of fun across campus today for Valentine's Day, lots of celebrating friendship and many classes did candy heart math!

Even though it is a short week next week we are still going to have a week full of fun and learning! Please carefully check the weekly calendar, many clubs and activities are cancelled because of the short week. There will be no school and the office will be closed on Thursday and Friday for Rodeo Break!
